HORA  - THE UNITY DANCE

    "HORA" is a specific folk dance that brings together all the comunity around a majer event in the life of that comunity. The dance is powerful link across milenia in Romanian tradition.

    This  masterpiece reaches the edges if impossiblility regarding its modeling techinque, size and expresivity. 

    The Unity Dance Project was part of a national exhibition touring the cities of Romania, a cultural collaboration led by ASTRA Codlea Foundation, celebrating 100 years anniversary of Romania becoming a country.

    The dance of 100 unique ceramic figurines centres around the child that holds a flag with primordial colours, representing hope and prosperity.

    The whole community is present, bringing together the the old (the shepherds), the new (people of the village) and the soldiers (veterans of the WWI) around the boy with the flag, the future.
